This paper throws light on the storytelling adaptations through language of ecology by way of presenting paraphrase of a bunch of items such as songs from a Malayalam film, Ramu Kariat’s ‘Nellu’ (1974), with evidential support carried from a Transcendentalist and philosopher Henry David Thoreau’s classical masterpiece and essay ‘Walden’ (1854) and attempts to bring an idea of eco-semiotics and linguistic relativity. These works are the true granaries of language of ecology, society, and mind which has a magical power to soothe the psyche of man who in turn gets engrossed in the thoughts of nature’s signs.
