किसी भी व्यक्ति का व्यवहार उसके व्यक्तित्व का वास्तविक प्रदर्शन होता है, क्योंकि व्यक्ति के भीतर जिस प्रकार के विचार चल रहे होते हैं वे वैसे ही उसका शरीर गति अर्थात व्यवहार करता है। इसी प्रकार कुछ शिक्षक जो कक्षा में अपने पाठ वस्तुओं संबंधी विचारों एवं व्यवहारों का समायोजन बेहतर ढंग से कर पते है जबकि कुछ शिक्षकों के पाठ वस्तु संबंधी विचार अलग होते हैं और उनके व्यावहारिक प्रदर्शित अलग होता हैं। शिक्षकों के द्वारा कक्षा शिक्षण के समय किए जाने वाले व्यवहार के कारण विद्यार्थियों के सीखने पर विशेष प्रभाव पड़ता है। कोई भी विद्यार्थी विषय या किताबी ज्ञान से ज्यादा शिक्षक की अभिव्यक्ति एवं शिक्षक के व्यवहार से सीखता है। वैसे तो शिक्षक हमेशा प्रयास करते हैं कि उनके विचार विद्यार्थियों के जीवन को बेहतर बनाने में समर्थ हो परंतु अनेक शिक्षक विचारों से तो विद्यार्थियों को शिक्षित करने का प्रयास करते हैं लेकिन स्वयं के व्यवहार को संयोजित करने में असफल हो जाते हैं जो विद्यार्थियों के अधिगम प्रक्रिया को प्रभावित करता है।
