भारत में नारी शिक्षा सामाजिक, आर्थिक और राष्ट्रीय विकास का एक महत्वपूर्ण आधार रही है। वर्ष 2020 में लागू की गई नई शिक्षा नीति (NEP 2020) ने शिक्षा व्यवस्था में संरचनात्मक और वैचारिक परिवर्तन प्रस्तुत किए हैं, जिनका उद्देश्य समानता, समावेशन और गुणवत्ता को बढ़ावा देना है। प्रस्तुत शोध पत्र का उद्देश्य नई शिक्षा नीति 2020 के संदर्भ में नारी शिक्षा की भूमिका और उसके प्रभावों का अध्ययन करना है, विशेष रूप से नामांकन, ड्रॉप-आउट दर तथा उच्च शिक्षा में महिलाओं की भागीदारी के संदर्भ में। यह अध्ययन द्वितीयक स्रोतों पर आधारित वर्णनात्मक एवं विश्लेषणात्मक शोध है। अध्ययन से यह स्पष्ट होता है कि NEP 2020 नारी शिक्षा को सशक्त करने की दिशा में एक सकारात्मक पहल है, किंतु इसके प्रभावी क्रियान्वयन के बिना इसके लक्ष्यों की प्राप्ति संभव नहीं होगी।
