Peer Review Process
The International Journal of Science and Social Science Research (IJSSSR) is committed to maintaining high standards of academic rigor through a thorough and transparent peer review process. Our peer review system ensures that submitted manuscripts undergo a critical and constructive evaluation by subject-matter experts before publication. The key steps in our peer review process are as follows:
-
Initial Submission
Authors submit their manuscripts via the IJSSSR online submission system. The editorial office performs an initial check for adherence to the journal's submission guidelines, relevance to the journal's scope, and basic technical requirements. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected outright. -
Editorial Screening
Once the submission passes the initial check, the Editor-in-Chief or an assigned Associate Editor conducts a preliminary evaluation of the manuscript's quality, novelty, and relevance. If the manuscript is deemed appropriate for the journal, it moves to the peer review stage. If not, it may be desk-rejected with proper feedback to the authors. -
Double-Blind Peer Review
IJSSSR employs a double-blind peer review process, meaning that both the identities of the authors and the reviewers are kept anonymous to ensure impartiality. The manuscript is sent to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. These reviewers evaluate the manuscript for originality, scientific or social relevance, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, and contribution to the existing body of knowledge. -
Reviewers’ Reports
Reviewers provide detailed, constructive feedback, including their recommendations, which may include:-
Acceptance without revisions
-
Acceptance with minor revisions
-
Major revisions required
-
Rejection
Authors are encouraged to address all comments from reviewers comprehensively. In the case of conflicting reviews, an additional reviewer may be consulted.

Revisions
If revisions are required, authors must submit a revised version of the manuscript along with a point-by-point response to the reviewers’ comments. The revised manuscript may be re-evaluated by the original reviewers to ensure that the concerns have been adequately addressed. -
Final Decision
Based on the reviewers' feedback and the author's responses, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on whether the manuscript is accepted for publication, requires further revision, or is rejected. Authors are informed of the decision, and if accepted, the manuscript proceeds to the publication stage. -
Publication
Once accepted, the manuscript undergoes final copyediting, typesetting, and proofreading before being published online. IJSSSR ensures timely publication and provides open access to all articles immediately upon release.
