Abstract

Inter-parental conflict encompassing a range of hostile interactions between parents has been widely recognized as a significant factor affecting child development. This study explores the nature, frequency, causes, types intensity and its psychological, emotional and behavioural impacts on children. Drawing on both qualitative and quantitative data, the research investigates how exposure to conflict between parents correlates with outcomes such as anxiety, aggression, academic performance, and social relationships in children. The study indicates that chronic unresolved conflicts are particularly harmful, often leading to long -term developmental challenges. Childhood is the stage where children’s development across physical, psychological, emotional, behavioural, psychological, social wellbeing. In conclusion, parental conflict can have a significant impact on children, affecting everything from their emotional well-being to their academic performance. By understanding the impact of parental conflict and taking steps to mitigate its effects, parents can help ensure that their children grow up in a healthy, supportive environment. Through effective communication, conflict resolution, and positive relationships with their children, parents can help break the cycle of conflict and promote healthy, happy families for generations to come.
